100% Sweet Love · Announcements

We Have Some Bad News

Hello everyone, it’s Vsukio again! After finally coming home from my trip, as you can tell from the title of the announcement, we found out some bad news.

Qidian seems to have taken up 100% Sweet Love. Though we had a feeling they would do this eventually, we didn’t expect it to be out of the blue like this, but what could we do? Although we would like to continue the project, Qidian is notorious for doing things like this as well as providing a large amount of translations in a short period of time. With this along with seeing how the majority of readers care more about gaining more chapters rather than who’s actually translating, we decided to drop this project. Though it was short-lived, we would like to thank everyone who had supported us here until the very end. It really means a lot to us.

Hey guys! This is Mei! When I first find out about the news, I got so excited my competitiveness instantly flared up. But after reading the reviews on the Qidian translation site… Okay, I won’t act like I’m all strong and impregnable. I’m honestly disappointed, but I’ve accepted and learnt to cope with reality. The fans/readers don’t really care much about who’s doing the translation, they care more about fast update and satisfying their desires, that’s reality. Though I do wish to continue translating it for fun. Hahahahah

The main point is, we’re doing this for pure joy and fun. Translating was tiring but both enjoyable. Writing on the site and seeing the products of our hard-work, is like watching our masterpieces placed in a museum. In the end, our team decided to stop the project. Plus, I don’t really give a damn about Qidian. If anything, they’ve the right to translate since the author’s works are link to 69shu and Qidian raws, right? It’s true that I’m sad, but some things in life, no matter how you fight to grab it, is meant for someone else. I trust that there’ll be better opportunity again… Better novel for us to translate! So when that time comes, when we decide on picking up another project again, we’ll be sure to let you guys be the first one to know.

  2. I appreciate the translators hard word and would have loved to continue reading your translations. I think this can be viewed as an opportunity to relax, or find a new project since your dedicated readers will probably trust your choice and read it.

  3. Thank you for sharing all your efforts with us. I’ve really enjoyed this because you translated it with lots of respect for the story and us. I can’t wait to see what you’ll do in 2018. Have a great new year!

  4. Are Qidian picking (stealing) only novels that are popular? if that’s the case then the only positive thing in all this is that your translations were popular!!….(I failed miserably at comforting right?)

    1. Ahahaha it’s fine now. I’m very interested in the author’s work, and she deserved this much attention. What i didn’t like was the translation (usually) done in Qidian International. They’re rather… deplorable, such a sad reality.
They’ve more quantity than us, hehe. But we won in quality. Right?

Edit: Starting from chapter 90, it seems their translation quality is rather excellent. I’m relieved.

      1. Definitely.. haha I did some comparison ^^;;
Qidian’s felt more like a draft compared to yours -.-
*sigh* it’s really too bad.. the moment I realise this novel was in Qidian, I got a feeling this was going to happen too – just didn’t expect for it to be this fast.. cos the same thing happened to another novel that I read haihh.. no votes, no warning, nothing. I thought they would at least inform the original translators -_-

Even so.. Thank you for your hard work. You guys did your best and it was fun reading your translator/editor’s notes. I look forward on reading your future works 🙂

  6. Well I knew it… From the moment I read the NU profile of this novel and saw Shitdian I said to myself don’t read it , you’ll get hooked and then you won’t be able to finish it…
So here it goes again, like for Hidden marriage and other former Volare ones..
This I’ll remove this wonderful novel from my NU reading list.
I’ll find other ones then and stop ranting so early in the morning!
Thanks for these chappies, will keep an eye on this site for maybe better ones!
    Have fun and take care

  8. Omfg!!!! How could they!!! I no I’m not one to talk since I do read some novels in QI but believe me Not all people think that “fast release are important or that who translates it doesn’t matter” srsly, I ever since Mei and Vsukio started translating the earlier chapter, I rarely read translator’s notes but I’ve always made sure to read yours.

Cause I srsly enjoy them and we all know how hard you guys work yourselves for releasing updates—with your busy RL and stuff, though Mei is a huge S and Vsukio gives off this ‘oneesan’ feel….the translator’s note waaaas super fun then the announcement of new people on the team was made and aaaaah…really…somehow I’m feeling frustrated 😞

Thanks for all the hard work and I’m excited for your new project…I just know its gonna be an awesome novel. Happy Holidays to y’all❣️❣️❣️🎉🎉🎉🎉

  9. But how can they just take the project like that? I don’t know this qidian but they surely have seen that you were translating 100%love no??
I’m frustrated because I fall in love with this website and all the translators ;(

I wish you a happy new year and handsome things for all of you and thanks for you hard work!!

  10. Oh my God I am really shocked when I check there is an update for this series. But then it is from Qidian. Honestly I FREAKING LIKE YOUR TRANSLATION MORE THAN QIDIAN’S ONE but I guess yeah a lot of ppl cares about how frequent the updates rather than quality. Anyway thank you for you guys, I will drop this novel too cus the translation sucks and it cannot satisfy my art soul. Hahahaha

  11. This is bad news since I don’t support qidian at all so this has now become another novel I have dropped. Thank you for all of your hard work. Know that you have lots of readers who support you and prefer quality over quantity 🙂
I look forward to supporting your next project which will be just as excellent as this one.

  12. Thank you so much for all the hard work in translation which were very well done! A little surprised to see that it is available in Qidian as I did not even see the novel listed in their voting list. And a quick check on Qidian, realized that they have already uploaded 90 chapters 😱.
Looking forward to your future projects. Good luck team and keep up the good work! Truly appreciate your time and effort

I’m sorry to see you guys gone but looking at all the ppl who came out to support maybe that will give u hope to come back and translate some new story and be a big hit again!!!

Actually I was first surprised that Qidian took this CN because someone has been translating and posting this in a regular basis and has a steady stream of chapters as far as I’m concerned I really like your translations and I am proud that you took it while it is new and build up its current reputation, I wished it was still you translating and that Qidian had taken the initiative to invite the current translators of the novel they have picked up, rather than disregarding them. I look forward to your other translation of CN/WN. Don’t give up hope, we know that you are a great translator and you also have other things to consider rather than those who has a full time job as a translator, we understand that and thankful that you had taken the effort, time and energy to translate novels!!!!
As for other readers out there we can’t fault them because they are just passerbys and hadn’t seen the efforts it had taken for you to translate and build this up so they have no understanding and just went through with the flow and change websites.
As for some of you readers like me, Which I’ve been here since almost the beginning (really since chapter 3) we appreciate and acknowledge your effort and will continue to support you on your next project!!!!!

    1. Yep! I understand that. But even if I do, the sadness that we felt are also genuine. Disregarding their translation quality, I think it’s good that we helped boost up the novel’s popularity. In a way, Qidian International took up this project much faster, (they usually took up translation project after hundreds or thousands of chapter) and I know this novel was originally published by Qidian (raw). Well, most readers are happy with fast updates anyway, that can’t be helped. The novel is a wonderful work by Jiong Jiong You Yao. I’m also happy to spread the love for her.

And i felt rather proud for taking up Qidian’s project hahahaha. Because most people didn’t have the gall to do so. I just do it for fun after all.

Thank you so so so much for picking up and sharing this novel at first place. Really appreciate it! Love the ups and downs that the couple are experiencing at the moment and looking forward for WanWan to counter her fox friend.

Btw, Wishing you guys best of luck in the future and may you have a beautiful , wonderful and happy new year!

  18. Another thing, just to be fair to other readers I also read in Qidian BUT!!! I only read novels that has been either dropped by the translator for quite some time(really like months) or was really an original translation by their website. I don’t follow through their translations w/c were truly copied on other sites (which I try to check if it was really found in another site; using NU,reviews or comments) and are still ongoing (w/c literally means being translated by another group) to give support to the original translators rather than benefit a group w/c lacks a proper translation both in structure and editing (As long as the original translator/editors continue their work). This is also my own means of justice for the original group and I wish that many readers would do the same so that other sites would not have the gall to steal others hard won work!!!

  20. Thank you for all your hard work, you guys are really so nice. I read venerated venomous consort on qi daily and i noticed this new story days ago (ps: i only read new stories, i don’t support stolen translations, i only read vvc there). I hate how they post under different title and when they didn’t get views they steal your title. I hate how they put up chapters of terrible quality (i just read chapter 1) just to catch up to you guys. I hate how they post directly after you post, like so goddamn obvious what they are trying to do. I hate full stop. Now that it’s under qi, i’m just gonna drop this story TT and just read spoilers on NU as lurker haha until it’s completely translated. This is my way of supporting you all and wishing you guys the best!

    1. I’m sorry, I don’t understand the part of ‘steal your title’. But you’ve give rise to a good question. Their official title of the novel are slightly different from ours anyway. And NU staff members were the ones in charge of moving and combining their chapters under the same title at Novel Updates site. So….. they’re not exactly stealing? Anyway, I’m not mad anymore. But your speculation about their strategy in baiting readers… sounds fantastic. It’s hateful, but it worked. Btw, aren’t Qidian translators are full-time ones? So can’t exactly blame them. It’s what they call “competition”. Huhu

  21. I do realize about Qidian taking over your translation but unlike usual, I held hope for you guys and wait until you come back but I guess, you are going to drop it too in the end. It really a shame that they even did this even toward a small team like you guys. It made me thinking twice if I wanted to do translation again. Well, all the best for you!

  24. I’d like to say thank you very much for all those wonderful translations. It is a good story and your way of transforming it into English was almost certainly better than what it is going to be (cough *editors!*). I agreed that there is no need to argue with the people who own the copyright to the originals and I wish you the best of luck in what ever you are going to try next.

I hope it goes well for you and thank you guys for all your hard work.

  32. This is really a sad news. Even though I know Qidian also translated this story, I adamantly wait for your translation. It’s more rewarding and to me (waiting for your chapter) it sort of an appreciative effort for all of your hard work, time and energy. So, thank you so much for all of your effort on this project! I love your translations and your cute little remarks before and after each chapter. Once again thank you and looking forward to your new project ❤

  33. I’m really sorry to hear this. I admit I also care a lot about getting fast updates and so on, but for me, I’m willing to keep reading on the og translator’s site. I don’t mind if you update slowly or anything. I like seeing the random weird comments and translator corners, it’s one of the things I look forward to. But since you are going to pick up a different novel, then I wish you all the best, I will read it.

  34. Thank you very much for your service.
It is deplorable and heartbreaking to see your project which you did with love and dedication being taken over by someone who is only in it for the money.

Despite all of it, please do not be too disappointed. Even though you did not get to finish it, it was you who started it and without you, who knows whether it will even be as popular, so popular that they decided to poach it. Keep in mind that it is because of you that readers even know about it.

Lastly, don’t focus on the negative emotion but the positive, like the pride you should feel. I will be looking forward to your other projects.

    Good luck! ❤
